In 2017, McIntyre Manufacturing was honored to be named one of the Triangle’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies by the Triangle Business Journal. This is just one of the many honors bestowed upon our company over the years, and we owe it all to our solid foundation.
In 1977, John McIntyre started what became McIntyre Manufacturing in the basement of his house. The operation then moved to a shop behind his home. As the business grew, it relocated to Greensboro and then to High Point before it arrived at its current Thomasville, North Carolina location.
Jeff McIntyre, current president of the company and son of founder John McIntyre, has vivid memories of growing up “in the business.” Whether it was the constant whir of machines running non-stop or the task of picking up wire from the factory floor, Jeff’s childhood was filled with the kind of lessons that taught the importance of honesty, excellence and service.
“My father instilled a lot of good values in us,” Jeff McIntyre said. “He didn’t like to sit behind a desk. He wanted to be out in the plant, getting his hands dirty. My dad’s best trait is that he’s a very unselfish individual. I hope that I have become the same way.”
Employees are also very invested in the company. Several have been with McIntyre Manufacturing for more than 20 years. This kind of loyalty is reflected in the quality of the products that are produced for customers.
“We can do everything from design to finished product under one roof,” Jeff McIntyre said. “The business changes every day. We’re constantly seeking ways we can better meet our customers’ needs.”
