Answers to Four of the Most Commonly Asked Questions About POP Displays

A customized point-of-purchase display represents a lot of time and investment on your behalf. It’s also the face of your brand and can influence retail shoppers and appeal to “impulse buys.” We receive a lot of questions about custom POP displays, and we’ve provided the answers that will help you plan your POP display and enable you to take advantage of all its benefits.

How much will a POP display cost?

This is one of the most common questions we receive. It’s hard to put a number on an exact price, because it depends upon so many factors including quantity, materials used, purpose, graphics and personalized customization.

Obviously, cost would also vary depending upon the complexity of the design. We make anything from simple wire tool hangers to complex, multi-material displays with lights, acrylic, TV monitors and graphics.

We can work towards a budget if provided but cost will always vary based on the complexity of the design and quantity desired. In addition, sometimes we can find savings or a more economical way to produce something that you may have overlooked!

It’s worth noting that POP displays typically have a high return on your investment. An estimated 76 percent of all purchase decisions are made in-store, which means a quality, customized POP display can dramatically affect your bottom line.

How long does it take to create a POP display?

Average timing is approximately 1-2 weeks to design and create a sample of the display.

Of course, this also depends upon the complexity of the project and the quantity needed. Once the project is approved, it can typically be completed in four to eight weeks.

Once again, this is an average. It may vary depending upon quantity, materials used and complexity of the display. Some materials have longer lead times, which can increase production times. We stock a variety of common materials to shorten lead times when possible.

What additional elements can be added to the POP display?

We can add almost anything to your POP display, including:

  • Graphics
  • Products for demonstration
  • Video
  • Lighting
  • Print information
  • Wood
  • Plastic
  • Metal
  • Electrical components

When these items work seamlessly together, it creates an effective and powerful message. We’ve covered some of these topics in detail in our earlier blogs:

How do you effectively package and ship a POP display?

Each display requires custom packaging to ensure it arrives at its destination in once piece. The packing materials we use depend upon how fragile the display components are and the preferred shipping method. We try to find the right balance between cost and function.
