Two of Our Favorite Retail Display Stand Projects

We love it when a plan comes together!

Confession: it’s not just the nuts and bolts of design we enjoy. We love watching a client’s concept grow from idea to vision to reality. There’s much more to a custom display than form and function. Often, it’s the little, colorful touches and textured details that make a big difference. Maybe a touch of LED lighting will help your product get the attention it needs or maybe just a simple splash of color is all you need to complement your brand.

While we get a lot of satisfaction seeing our projects come to fruition, our greatest achievement is to create a product that exceeds our customers’ expectations

While we have several favorites, we wanted to select a few to show you.

1. Bio Lab Clorox Aisle Interrupter Display Stand

custom wire display rack made in usaCustomer: Clorox

Product: Clorox Spa Care aisle interrupter

This display effectively grabs your attention regardless of whether or not you own a spa. We used wire, tubing, sheet metal and styrene graphics to create a perfectly functional display for these Clorox products. But enough of the technical talk. This piece is much more than mere specs—we created a product that emphasized deep blues, a “wave” feel, and even an optional floor decal. The display was easily customizable, and we could easily add wheels to relocate the display if needed.

This point of purchase display was rolled out to just under 700 stores, and we even warehoused the balance of the units until the rollout was complete.

2. Irwin/ Lenox Power Tool Accessories Showcase Display

Customer: Irwin/ Lenox

Product: power tool accessories showcase

We embraced the challenge of using allotted space to accommodate a variety of products. This space would have to be regularly adjusted depending upon the customer’s marketing plans.

The result was a display that created a sleek, strong base to showcase Irwin /Lenox power tools, while it also allowed the customer to add on components for customization.

The initial roll out was for just over 1,300 stores.

What Makes an Effective Retail Store Display?

While these two projects represent some favorite POP display stands, we consider any product that helps our clients’ reach their goals to be a masterpiece. These two examples showcase some of the most important qualities all good point of purchase and retail store displays should have. These include:

1. Durability

We needed a display that was strong enough to hold the weight of a variety of power tools. Since the items in the display, and even its basic configuration, needed to be changed periodically, we had to create a POP display to meet these demands.

The durability of the display also makes a statement about the product. Would you buy a power tool if its display looked like it was about to fall apart? Of course not! We’re thrilled that this display complemented the finer qualities of the product.

2. Brand consistency

Each aspect of these displays reinforce the brand. You have the clear, perfect “Clorox blue” and the steel gray and blue colors for Lenox tools. When you see the displays with the products installed, the result is a seamless picture that moves your eye easily and effectively to the product.

3. Inviting customer interaction

You want to take a closer look at those tools, don’t you? We do too (of course, we could look at great sets of power tools all day, but that’s another blog post.) The Clorox display invites customers to inspect the different products.

Often, store retail displays become so obsessed with being “eye-catching” that they miss the main point. You want to engage your customer. The shopper must feel perfectly at ease—encouraged, in fact—to pick up you product and linger over the display.

4. Flexibility

Whether the POP display needs wheels or the ability to transform it to meet the configuration of different products, these needs are in the forefront of our minds when we design every product.

Of course, these are only two of our wonderful products. We’ve had the privilege of working with some great companies in the decades that we’ve been in business. Take a look at our photo gallery portfolio.
